Bush AdministrationThe Bush Administration is the term used to describe President Bush and his cabinet members of the United States government. Bush, who is in his second term in office, is President George Bush, who is married to Laura and has two daughters. His administration is that of a republican based cabinet that offers a variety of unique perspectives on the world around them. The Bush Administration has gone through changes over the eight-year term that the President has seen. The Vice President, and second in command is Vice President Dick Cheney. In the last year of administration, the Department of Agriculture is Secretary Ed Schafer. The Department of the Interior has been lead by Secretary Dirk Kempthorne, the Department of Commerce by Secretary Carlos Gutierrez and the Department of Justice by Attorney General Michael Mukasey. Other members of the Bush Administration that are well known include the Department of Homeland Security headed by Secretary Michael Chertoff, the Department of Treasury headed by Secretary Henry M. Paulson, Jr., and Department of State headed by Secretary Condoleezza Rice. Each of these cabinet members is an important part of the administration. The President's cabinet is the advisors he has on the various goings on in the country and they help him make decisions. Many aspects of the Bush Administration have been controversial during his term as President. With two wars, one in Afghanistan and one in Iraq in place, as well as a large economy and defense battlefront in front of them, as well as the worries of immigration, health care, and energy, the administration has seen a lot of challenging work. The Bush Administration has a composition of people that have been in place based on their skills, abilities, and their experience. While many of them will continue in public service for years to come, others will move on to other experiences at the end of the term. |
